Dale Huber

Broker/Owner; President
Dale was born and raised in Clare County, Michigan, where he contributed to caring for the family farm, learning the value of hard work. After graduating from Harrison High School, Dale moved to Saginaw to attend college, but found success as an assistant manager at Discount Tire Company, where he spent the next several years. After meeting his wife, Sara (Panek), he decided to change course and get his real estate license in 2004, just months before the wedding date. He quit his job as manager at Discount Tire two weeks before their wedding in July 2004, and started his career as a Realtor the day he and Sara returned from their honeymoon. He founded DS Huber Properties & Development, LLC, in 2008, after spending four years working for local brokerages Century 21 Home Towne, Briarwood Realty, and Gateway to Homes Realty, where he got his first property management referral in 2008. Since then, the business has grown and changed, including a business name change in 2017. Dale lives in Eaton Rapids with his wife Sara, three beautiful children, 2 dogs, three bunnies, a small flock of chickens, and several thousand bees.

Gabe Lopez

In addition to real estate, Gabe has spent many years working in IT as well as working as a professional photographer. He met his wife Heidi while taking a fencing class at LCC. After graduating high school, he moved to East Lansing to attend Michigan State University and has lived in the Lansing area ever since. One of his clams to fame is that his great uncle Leonard sculpted the famous "Sparty" statue. John graduated with a degree in History and received his teaching certificate. He went on to teach middle and high school for 16 years in Lansing and Laingsburg before deciding it was time to make a life change. Drew Brown

Realtor®
Drew was born and raised on a small hobby farm in Ionia, MI. Where some great lessons were learned, and people met. Yes, he was in FFA and yes he did get the American Farm’s Degree for his hard work, dedication, and extremely dry sense of humor ?. He went on to get a Finance degree for CMU “Fire Up Chips” and held a job in accounting at AIS Equipment Co a Heavy Equipment distributor in MI. After 3 years and 2 kids he decided to try for a job closer to home and wound up at Auto-Owners Insurance. A-O as many of their associates called it was a well-respected regional insurance carrier. He learned a ton about insurance and especially farm and multi-line insurance. While at A-O he did something crazy that drove his wife a little bonkers! Took an online real estate course and eventually got his license. While still at A-O and looking for a Broker to allow him to work part-time he stumbled across DS Huber Properties. After approximately 1 and a half years with DS Huber he went from Underwrite during the day and real estate/property management at night to real estate/property management all the time and the rest he says, is history. P.S. somewhere in that he made the home he bought 6 doors, working on a third child and looking for more doors.

Matt Wehr

Realtor®
Matt grew up watching his grandparents invest in real estate. Newly married, he and his wife moved into their first house and are currently renovating it. Matt attended Maple Valley High School in Vermontville, where some of his favorite classes included Manufacturing. He discovered a love for welding. In between high school and college, he helped his father renovate his parents' home. In 2013, he attended Lansing Community College and received a highly sought after welder’s certificate. Even though he was a welder for 6 years, his aspirations were to always be in the real estate industry. Matt said, “ The real estate industry has always fascinated me. I want to build for my family and believe that homeownership and investing is the best way that I can help other families grow.” While holding down a full-time job, investing, building knowledge through classes and courses, getting married and having a beautiful baby girl, Matt obtained his real estate license in October of 2018. He is currently responsible for coordinating contractors for renovations and scheduling maintenance requests for of DS Huber's managed properties.
Matt’s goals as a licensed agent are to help all with real estate needs including buying and selling. He would also enjoy helping others have success in investing and management. However, helping families find their dream homes is his number one goal. He currently lives in Vermontville with his wife and daughter. They have one dog and an outdoor cat.

Sara Huber

Owner
Sara is a native of East Lansing and an alumna of Michigan State University (Go Spartans!) and the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!). After graduating from UGA, she spent just one year in Marietta, GA, to start her teaching career, but in 2000 decided that she missed her home state too much. She spent the next 11 years as a Latin teacher in Lansing, where she met Dale, married, and had two children before “retiring” from teaching in order to help grow the business in 2011. Her role in the business started small, but has grown to include ownership, business development, accounting, and team member training. Sara appreciates the opportunity to work most days from the home office in her pajamas. Please pardon the roosters crowing in the background if she takes your phone call from the "Corporate Headquarters"!

Mike Crankshaw

Turn Coordinator
Mike was born and raised in Owosso. After graduating from Owosso High School, Mike attended Baker College of Owosso where he earned a degree in Business Management and spent the better part of a decade working in Hospitality Management. In 2007, his career brought him to Lansing where he continued in hospitality. In 2011 the commute from Owosso became too much and made the move to Lansing, where he has settled and started to put down new roots. He met his beautiful and amazing wife, Heather in 2012 and were married in late 2013. In late 2016, Mike decided it was time to make a career change after working in hospitality for 20 years and started looking at other paths to start a new journey. That journey took him to DS Huber Real Estate Group, where he plans to grow and succeed as the company grows and becomes more and more successful. Mike and his wife have 3 dogs and 2 guinea pigs, with hopes to expand and grow the family to have more critters in the future. The career change has opened new doors for Mike and allows him to spend more time with family and to take time to enjoy the many things that life has to offer.
